PERTAINING TO S6 P3 CANON - sam does not voluntarily drop out of the fight. there was no actual choice involved on her part. that score board made the choice for her. sam wanted her moment. she wanted that fair fight. but she knew the biggest goal of this final fight was to take the big bad off the map and she was suddenly not in a position to help do that anymore after axel's victory. the best case scenario was cobra kai and she understood that. she was supportive all the way through because she knows and cares about the people who put on those gis, but she was disappointed that her last tournament ended with her on the sidelines.

verses

alt. s6 p3 verse - robby finishes his fight & bags the win. sam fights and loses to tory in the semis. tory wants this win a lot more than her & that's what it comes down to in the end. only then, she can peacefully be in those bleachers cheering her on without having this tournament remain a big unanswered question in her life. only then she will trust that she did her best, refusing to allow the loss to shape her thoughts about herself anymore. because she's already been there and she's not going back.hunter verse - affiliated with @huntedvideo. the details of the verse can be adapted, but the default version puts sam in a world where she comes from a family of hunters. cue the tragic backstory, sam's & anthony's parents were killed by the men of letters - an elite hunter organization with a superioity complex. the siblings remain in fin's care - amanda's brother. while her uncle wants to protect her from this life, sam's adamant on learning how to hunt. & most of all, how to protect the family she has left.

sam grew up a happy kid in the larusso family. she was surrounded by positive influences, learned compassion & resilience from her parents, marveled at mister miyagi's wisdom for as long as she had the chance although she was too young to appreciate it in its entirety & truly learn from it. her childhood wasn't troubled. she had good friends, a loving family and she wanted for nothing. but the curse of growing up was going to catch up to her sooner or later.starting high school was the catalyst. cliques were swiftly formed & her sense of identity quickly boiled down to one word: nerd. she wasn't ashamed of being smart but that was not all she was. not all she wanted to be. so she became more social, poked her comfort bubble, got drawn into the popular circle - she felt better. she felt like there was more to high school life than a secluded lunch table & being called a waste of a pretty face. little did she know her two worlds would clash so violently. little did she know it would be so hard to find your place.since she was old enough to have a decent attention span, her dad made sure she knew what karate truly was about. he taught her the importance of balance & focus. he taught her to never throw the first punch or kick but that she should always know how to defend herself or others in a fight. she assimilated the knowledge & tucked it in the back of her mind, keeping it with her even when she lost interest in training with her dad. mister miyagi's death took away the ground beneath her feet, took the joy out of the lessons & drove her away from them. puberty & everything that came with it quickly became much more pressing. & then came high school. she was surrounded by people, yet alone. she had rumors spread about her. she watched people she thought she knew change overnight. she needed to feel a sense of safety again; familiarity. balance. she came back to karate & embraced it like an old friend.even so, letting karate back into her life hasn't come without turbulence. she's had to question her identity, fight with anxiety and attempt to heal more physical and emotional wounds than she can count. the pressure never lets up. but she can handle herself. she's a larusso, after all.

PERTAINING TO S6 P3 CANON - clearly, i'm disregarding some of the crumbs we've been given in the scene featuring winnie. for years, i've been developing moon as an OC as far as her family information is concerned and i won't be making changes but i am open to discussing alternate verses ! that said, i will be inserting dakota ( my moon's mother ) in winnie's place as far as the date between her and chozen goes. the wine tasting trip & amanda's intention to set her up remains.

verses

ghost whisperer verse - affiliated with @huntedvideo. moon's life is not much different from her usual day to day. there is just one small peculiar detail to be added - ever since she was little, she could see beyond the veil. moon can see spirits & communicate with them, often helping the occasional lost soul cross over to the other side. in this verse, she also has a part-time job editing videos for fin's youtube channel.

moon was born to grayson & dakota mcconnell in sunny los angeles. she had a happy childhood, growing up surrounded by loving parents who taught her the value of kindness, pushed her to speak her mind & go after the things she wants. she was taught to find the good in everyone as well as the importance of boundaries & she's lived by those lessons her whole life.unfortunately, right before her freshman year, her home life took a drastic turn. her parents were good at hiding their issues from her but that charade could only go so far. her father had met someone new. he didn't cheat on her mother but he came clean about his feelings & one sunday afternoon, they sat her down & announced their divorce. her father was going to move out & it was completely up to her who she wanted to live with. her parents' arrangement was as amiable as could be but moon was crushed, dreading the radical change in her life.she was easily drawn in by the popular crowd during this time. they were a welcome distraction from her mother's sudden shift of personality ; a hurt woman turning to alcohol to numb the pain, forcing her child to become her emotional support. parties, gossip, not taking herself or anything that was happening around her too seriously, she took it all in & let her crumbling home life fall to the back of her mind. she strayed from her heart & acted out. until enough was enough.she apologized to the people she'd wronged & finally made a choice to live with her mother. it's during this time that she truly embraced the spiritual world. she turned to meditation, crystals, gratitude, journaling. putting her feelings on paper seemed to be the most dreadful but she wanted to do it right. she wanted to find the silver lining & hold onto it for dear life. it helped her cope.with the karate war going on around her, her friends getting hurt & hurting each other, she finds that it still helps. she preaches peace & love & no one really wants to hear it. no one wants to acknowledge that it's more than hippie bullshit, as murmurs in the school hall may have one think. she's a safe haven to everyone she loves. there's no deterring her from showing them how the most important things sometimes take the simplest forms.
